The North Central Youths Forum has called on the leadership and PDP stakeholders to give Rivers State Governor  Nyesom Wike a special consideration for the presidential ticket of the party “given his unique leadership  capacity to address the unabated insecurity and his  drive for infrastructural development witnessed in his reign in Rivers State”
In a statement made available to newsmen in Keffi, Nassarawa State on Wednesday at it’s *Presidential Election Endorsement Conference, the group convener Abdullahi Maykarfi* said “after a critical appraisal of the presidential aspirants across all major political parties for the  2023 presidential race, it has become very imperative to be assertive in our choice of who becomes the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigera. It is now crystal clear that the ruling All Progressive Party under the presidency of President Muhammadu Buhari has failed to correct major national issues upon which it was advocated to address in the last seven years and as such, has no moral justification as a political party to seek further chance to govern Nigeria beyond the 2023 general election, ditto for all it’s presidential aspirants. It is on this note, we the North Central Youths Forum has embarked on an objective search of a presidential aspirant, with provable track records of development and courageous political will to confront the menace of insecurity bedeviled our nation and have therefore found the River State Governor Nyesom Wike as the only aspirant that stands out with these needed leadership traits”
The group further said ” the people of  north Central of Nigeria experience the major needless and irrecoverable losses of lives, properties and livelihoods to banditry, herdsmen attacks and kidnappers in the last half a decade and we cannot afford to watch the political process to reproduce the leadership that will not   be capable enough to stem this tide. Hence, our collective and concluded interest is to be actively involved in this process with immediate and  committed will, to physically approach all potential delegates and PDP stakeholders in our zone as well as special appeal for  internal party mechanisms within the PDP national leadership that will ensure the emergence of Governor Wike as the party presidential candidate in the primary election”
*Abdullahi Maykarfi* also stressed that “there can never be any economy development without a secured society, therefore, it is our strong belief that the candidacy of  Governor Wike remains the hope we seek for  a secured North Central and Nigeria as a whole”
